The Role: Alongside the rest of the field therapy team, this Physical Therapist would see approximately 22-25 infants and toddlers in the home to provide therapy (driving time paid, mileage reimbursed). Additionally, they would co-teach our weekly parent-and-me developmental playgroups.
Responsibilities:
Deliver small group and direct services to children with diverse physical abilities, focusing on motor skills development, mobility, and overall physical well-being.
Conduct home visits to provide physical therapy services to children in the comfort of their own homes.
Assess each child's needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address their specific physical challenges.
Co-create and facilitate transdisciplinary early intervention-focused curriculum with a team of other therapists and teachers for 1 weekly session
Implement therapeutic exercises, techniques, and interventions to improve children's gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and mobility.
Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any related administrative tasks.
Collaborate with other professionals on care team to collaborate on treatment approach for each child.
Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and involve them in goal-setting and treatment planning.
Requirements:
Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Valid California licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational or early intervention setting.
Strong understanding of child development and the impact of physical challenges on overall well-being.
Ability to work effectively as part of a transdisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with children, parents, and colleagues.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children of all abilities.
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of a pilot program and work in a collaborative, innovative environment.
Genuine belief in the power of inclusion.
Regular access to reliable transportation.
Working Hours:
Allocate approx 30-32 hours per week for home visits, providing Physical Therapy services to children in the comfort of their own homes. This includes drive time.
Allocate approx 5-7 hours to admin and collaboration time
Plan and facilitate 1 weekly developmental playgroup for families and children alongside therapy team
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Applicants should be comfortable:
Standing for 2+ plus hours per day
Stooping, bending, climbing, and walking frequently
Lifting up to 40 pounds

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Infant Educator to join our team. This role is community-based, providing individualized, play-based early intervention home visit services to infants and toddlers (ages 0-3) in their homes throughout San Diego.

Includ(Ed) provides early intervention-focused inclusive preschool where all are welcome. Collectively, our staff provides the support, care, and education that enable typically-developing children and children with disabilities to learn, play, and thrive together.
We also provide in-home early start therapies and Infant Education to families around the county.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infant Educator who is passionate about supporting infants, toddlers, and their families through holistic, child-led, and play-based early intervention. The ideal candidate will have experience working in home-based settings, collaborating with families, and using neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive practices to create safe and nurturing environments where all children thrive.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized, home-based, child-led learning experiences that foster cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.
Utilize play-based, relationship-centered strategies to support each child's unique strengths and developmental needs.
Partner with families to develop strategies that integrate learning into everyday routines and enhance their child’s growth and well-being.
Implement neurodiversity-affirming and culturally responsive practices that celebrate diverse learning styles and family backgrounds.
Conduct developmental observations and assessments, track progress, and provide families with strengths-based feedback.
Collaborate with therapists, educators, and families to create comprehensive support plans.
Model best practices in infant care, safety, and responsive caregiving.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to program development and evaluation.
Engage in continuous professional learning focused on inclusive education, early intervention, and best practices in infant and toddler development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Early Intervention, Special Education, or a related field (or equivalent coursework/experience required).
Minimum of 3 years experience working with infants, toddlers, and families in a home-based or early intervention setting.
Experience supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families.
Strong understanding of child development theories, play-based learning, and early intervention practices.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to travel within your service area to provide in-home services
Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills with children, families, and colleagues.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and family-centered, culturally responsive practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree, credential, or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field strongly preferred
Bilingual (Spanish, ASL, or other languages) a plus.
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Comfortable working in various home environments.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Ability to sit on the floor and actively engage in play with infants and toddlers.
Ability to safely position and support children in various postures for developmentally appropriate activities.
Compensation & Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000 - $80,000 depending on experience and education

Position Type: 25-40 hours per week

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Classroom Assistant Teacher (paraprofessional/SCIA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in special education and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development. As an Assistant Teacher (paraprofessional/SCIA), you will work closely with our dedicated teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing specialized learning plans for students with additional support needs.
- Provide one-on-one support and small group instruction to students, as directed by the teacher.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and respected.
- Assist with classroom management and student support strategies.
- Support students with activities of daily living, including toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Collaborate with the teaching team to modify curriculum materials and activities to meet the diverse needs of all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and support continuity between home and school.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
-Support the sanitation and organization of the classroom by supporting with cleaning, sanitizing, and organization.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in special education or with children with additional support needs is required.
- Experience working with children under the age of 6 is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and implement new strategies and techniques to support student learning and development.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

🔥 Internship Overview
This summer internship offers a unique opportunity for college students or pre-professionals pursuing careers in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with children aged 0-5, support classroom activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of educators and therapists.
You’ll be paired with a special mentor from your field of interest, offering personalized guidance, professional insights, and opportunities to shadow therapy sessions and classroom interventions.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
Support teachers and therapists in implementing inclusive, play-based learning activities.
Assist with individual and small-group interventions, including speech, OT, and music therapy sessions.
