Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do at Includ(Ed) San Diego — and that includes this website. We are committed to ensuring our digital presence is accessible to people of all abilities, including those who use assistive technologies.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.
What we do
To support an accessible experience, we work to:
- Use semantic HTML and descriptive labels so screen readers can navigate the site.
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Maintain sufficient color contrast and readable typography.
- Support keyboard navigation and visible focus states.
- Design forms and interactive elements with clear, accessible labels.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We review the site as we add features and content, and we continue to improve over time. Some older content or third-party components (such as embedded donation forms, maps, or video) may not yet fully meet our target, and we are working to address these.
Third-party content
Parts of our site rely on third-party services — for example, donation processing through Givebutter and embedded media. We do not control the accessibility of those external tools, but we choose partners who share our commitment and we welcome feedback about any barriers you encounter.
